Heat Pumps

Heat Pumps

Increasingly, heat pumps are being used, to recover heat from water, air, or ground sources, and these may be entered into the SAP calculation using the default values (presently 250% efficiency).  The manufacturer’s proposed efficiency figure may not be used at this time as there is no controlled method for testing as yet.  BRE are, however, in the process of working out the methodology in order to put this facility in place.
