Non-Domestic EPCs

became mandatory on 1st October 2008

* EPCs (Energy Performance Certificates) are now mandatory on handover of all non-domestic buildings for sale or lease. This includes public buildings, shops, and workspaces

* A DEC (Display Energy Certificate) which demonstrates the Energy Usage of a non-domestic building whilst in use must be displayed

* The government is allowing a grace period until 4th January 2009 for these EPCs to be put in place.  Act now.
